ABS-CBN Foundation and ABC’s for Global Health met for an exclusive partnership gathering at the Lopez Residence in Ayala Alabang on July 13, 2023.
The event with the theme "Building Healthy Communities" was aimed at forging a potential collaboration that focuses on creating a network of organizations that share a common mission: promoting holistic health and well-being across communities.
The delegates who attended the event were the leaders of the different programs of the ABS-CBN Foundation, headed by Roberta Lopez-Feliciano and Jen Santos, and ABC’s for Global Health, represented by Dr. Julieta Gabiola and Dr. Arthur Gallo.
"What If Proposal for a Healthy Community,” the proposed initiative, is directed towards integrating several social welfare aspects under one umbrella, driving a multi-faceted approach towards creating healthy communities.
This proposition covers essential facets of community well-being, that includes:
Healthcare, to be led by ABC's for Global Health
Child Welfare, to be guided by AFI Bantay Bata.
Disaster Resilience, to be coordinated by AFI Sagip Kapamilya.
Education, undertaken by AFI Programa Genio.
Environment, to be managed by AFI Bantay Kalikasan.
Livelihood, to be steered by AFI Integrated Area Development.
The pilot project is planned to be launched in Masantol, Pampanga, with the long-term goal of empowering and educating the community to strive towards holistic health and well-being.
During the meeting, partners had the opportunity to provide insight into the initiative's development, sharing their ideas and suggestions to supplement and grow the seed of this transformative project.
This collaboration plan is just the start, as it also looks to scale the project beyond the pilot phase partnering with more collaborators and gathering more support with the hopes of long-lasting, significant impact.
The ABS-CBN Foundation and ABC’s for Global Health, through this initiative, intends to catalyze a revolutionary transformation towards healthier and more resilient communities.
